Katsa Oy – Reliable gear solutions to marine and off-shore

Katsa is a one of the leading gear producers for demanding solutions. In-house manufacturing process including heat treatment capabilities fulfills any marine and off-shore requirement. Material classification process, magnetic particle inspection and Klingelnberg P150 gear checking machine with other high requirement processes are part of gear production at Katsa.

Gear manufacturing capacity at Katsa is focused on case carburized and ground gear wheels. Modern machines include manufacturing up to D1500mm, several sizes of hobbing machines, robotised deburring, in-house chamber furnace heat treatment, high accuracy universal grinding machines and Gleason-Pfauter gear grinding capacity (P600/800G to P1600G).

Gearbox solutions at Katsa Oy are designed in-house, which together with own production capabilities ensures flexible deliveries for demanding classified solutions. Different mechanical power transmission solutions include turning devices, PTO gearboxes and clutches, but also other gearbox needs of marine and off-shore. Katsa Oy also offers reverse engineering for modernization projects.

Katsa Oy was founded in 1955 and since that the company has been looking for solutions of the future. Over the years that has meant ongoing transformation and continuous investments on latest manufacturing and inspection technologies and several gearbox product development projects.
