Tamhae 3 is a new geophysical exploration research vessel belonging to the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). It is the country’s first multipurpose geophysical exploration vessel.

KIGAM entered into a contract with shipbuilding company HJ Shipbuilding and Construction in January 2021 to design and construct the vessel. 

JSD 6000 Pipelay Vessel

The JSD 6000 is a multi-purpose dynamic positioning 3 pipelay vessel, developed by Ulstein Design & Solutions, a shipbuilding company. The customised version of the SOC 5000 heavy lift vessel has been adapted to fulfil the specific operational requirements of Saipem, an Italian multinational oilfield services company and the operator of the vessel.

The Zhi Zhen 100 is a service operation vessel (SOV) tailored for China’s burgeoning offshore wind sector. The model is developed by Ulstein Verft, a shipbuilder within the Ulstein Group. The SOV will be owned and operated by the Shanghai Electric Windpower Group, an industrial and intelligent system solutions supplier for the wind sector.
